REIKI CONVERSATIONS: Awaken Your Intuition with Reiki, Part 3 or 5
How Reiki Heals Blocks to Inner Awareness
When we talk about intuition, empathy, and discernment, we’re really talking about inner awareness: how we listen, perceive, and respond to the energy within and around us. Reiki helps us see what has always been present: our natural ability to connect to truth through awareness.
But for many of us, our inner awareness has been hidden by the noise of daily life, emotional overload, or old beliefs that make it hard to trust what we feel. Reiki gently lifts those layers, revealing the clear light of our inner knowing. It helps us find peace in our sensitivity, confidence in our intuition, and calm in our empathy.
During our free, online Distance Reiki Share, we explored how Reiki heals the blocks that keep us from trusting our awareness. This conversation revealed that our intuitive gifts are already here; they simply need room to breathe.
Reiki and the Energy of Awareness
Reiki is consciousness. It flows through body, mind, and spirit, guiding us back to our natural state of harmony. When Reiki flows, it brings awareness to the areas that have been dimmed or forgotten.
These may appear as emotional patterns, self-doubt, or mental noise that cloud our perception. But Reiki never judges or forces; it simply brings light. As this light enters our system, awareness begins to expand. We see, feel, and understand more clearly through alignment instead of through effort.
This is how Reiki heals blocks to inner awareness. It helps you release what isn’t truly you, so your intuitive voice can rise to the surface.
Empathy as an Energy Language
Empathy is a gift of sensitivity, but it can feel overwhelming when we absorb others’ emotions or pain. Many practitioners describe feeling drained or unsure where their energy ends and another’s begins. Reiki helps transform empathy from emotional absorption into compassionate awareness.
Through Reiki, empathy becomes balanced. You can feel deeply while staying centered. The energy teaches you that compassion doesn’t mean taking on someone else’s pain. Compassion means holding presence while Reiki does the work.
When empathy is grounded in Reiki, it shifts from reaction to observation. You sense what is true without losing yourself in the process.
Discernment: The Anchor of Awareness
Discernment is one of Reiki’s greatest energies. Discernement allows you to recognize what belongs to you and what does not, what is truth and what is distraction. Reiki strengthens discernment because it brings clarity and neutrality.
In Reiki practice, discernment grows through observation. Instead of analyzing what you feel, you witness it. You notice energy as vibration, color, or sensation without assigning meaning too quickly. Over time, this builds a deeper trust in what you perceive.
Discernment reminds us that intuition is about being clear, not about being “right.” Reiki helps you rest in that clarity, where guidance becomes gentle, accurate, and peaceful.
Color and Frequency: Reiki’s Language of Light
During our Distance Reiki Share, we talked about how Reiki often expresses itself through color and vibration. If you see colors when you’re giving Reiki, you’re seeing frequencies of consciousness.
Each color carries an energetic signature:
- Soft greens and pinks often reflect heart energy and compassion.
 - Gold and white may carry frequencies of divine consciousness and truth.
 - Indigo and violet connect you to spiritual awareness and intuitive sight.

You might see or sense these colors during a session, or feel them as warmth, coolness, or texture. Reiki helps you become fluent in this language of light. The more you observe without judgment, the more meaning begins to arise naturally, which is another way Reiki heals inner blocks. It brings language to what once felt indescribable.
The Inner Observer
Reiki teaches us to become the observer, to step back and witness rather than absorb. When we observe energy with compassion, we shift out of resistance and into understanding. This shift alone begins the healing process.
Imagine standing at the edge of a lake. If the surface is choppy, you can’t see clearly. But when the water becomes still, its depth becomes apparent. Reiki brings the stillness. It calms the emotional waves so the truth beneath the surface can rise.
The inner observer is deeply connected. It feels without collapsing, listens without reacting, and allows awareness to move freely. Reiki cultivates this presence within us so that inner awareness itself becomes healing.
Healing the Layers of Forgetting
Every person carries layers of memories, experiences, and beliefs that have shaped how we perceive energy. Some of these layers act like filters, dimming our sensitivity or creating confusion. Reiki helps release these filters through compassionate awareness.
When we offer Reiki to ourselves or others, we’re receiving a sacred energy where truth can reemerge. Sometimes deeper truths emerge through subtle insight; other times it feels like a deep emotional release. Both are ways that awareness reawakens.
Over time, this healing reveals more of your intuitive nature. You begin to notice that what once felt like sensitivity now feels like strength. What once felt confusing becomes clear guidance.
Practical Reiki Techniques to Support Awareness
Reiki practice offers simple tools to keep your energy clear and your intuition steady. Here are a few ways to bring this awareness into daily life:
- Self-Reiki with intention: Place your hands on your heart and ask Reiki to illuminate your inner truth. Allow images, colors, or sensations to flow naturally.
 - Ground before and after sessions: Visualize Reiki energy flowing through your feet into the earth. Feel stability and connection before and after engaging with others’ energy.
 - Use the Power Symbol for energetic boundaries: Envision the symbol around yourself or your space to hold compassionate neutrality.
 - Journal your intuitive experiences: Record impressions after each session. Over time, patterns emerge that help refine discernment.
 - Offer Reiki to your empathy: If you feel drained or overwhelmed, give Reiki directly to that feeling. It will teach you what it needs to stay balanced.

These practices remind you that Reiki is both spiritual and practical. It lives in your awareness as much as in your hands.
Reiki as Applied Spiritually
Reiki teaches us how to live in the world with grace. Awareness helps us experience the divine within ordinary moments in our daily lives.
When you bring Reiki into your morning routine, your relationships, or your workday, you’re inviting conscious awareness into everything you do. You may find yourself pausing before responding to someone, sensing energy in your environment, or simply feeling peace where you used to feel stress.
The practice of living from your intuitive, aware self increases your spirituality. Reiki helps you embody this awareness naturally, without striving or effort.
