REIKI CONVERSATIONS: Why Reiki Is the Practice for This Moment, pt. 2 of 5

An Essential Part of Personal Healing
Reiki has become such a vital healing practice for this moment in time. In today's fast-paced world, where noise and distraction compete for our attention, I've noticed how many of us are yearning for peace, connection, and meaning. During our recent Online Distance Reiki Share, the insights shared were profound, practical, and deeply resonant with what we've witnessed in our years of practice and teaching.
Finding Your Center in a Chaotic World
One of the best things about Reiki is that it meets you exactly where you are. This it what makes it accessible to everyone, regardless of where you find yourself on your personal journey. Whether you're feeling grief, managing daily stress, dealing with physical challenges, or simply seeking deeper connection, Reiki provides support, presence, and healing energy that adapts to you and what you need.
Reiki healing energy is gentle and compassionate. You don't need to "fix" yourself before beginning. Reiki itself is the path of healing. I've seen how it unifies your humanity and spirituality so you can be you.
A Response to Our Collective Awakening
We believe we are witnessing a significant shift in collective consciousness. People all around the world are questioning traditional ways of living, letting go of what no longer serves them, and seeking more aligned paths. In our Reiki circles, we consistently hear variations of the same desires:
"I want to feel genuinely connected again."
"I need to find the way to listen to what my body is telling me."
"I'm searching for deeper meaning in my life."
Reiki addresses these needs by helping us awaken our intuitive knowing, energetic awareness, and inner guidance. This moment in time calls us to live from a more conscious, heart-centered place. We've experienced how Reiki helps us remember how to do that naturally.
Building a New Relationship with Yourself
Many of my students come to Reiki because something in their life isn't working. Perhaps they're experiencing exhaustion, processing trauma, recovering from loss, or simply feeling that quiet inner whisper saying, "There's more to life than this."
Through regular practice, Reiki energy and practices help you quiet external noise and turn your attention inward. It teaches you to listen deeply to your body, your energy, and your truth. One of Reiki's greatest gifts is that it helps you discover your own wisdom.
Reiki becomes a source of internal connection and guidance. As your practice deepens, you develop compassion, clarity, self-trust, and a new relationship with yourself.
Practical Reiki Techniques for Daily Life
Here are some easy ways to integrate Reiki into your everyday routine.
- Begin your morning with a 5-minute Reiki self-treatment. Place your hands gently over your heart, abdomen, or wherever you feel drawn. Invite Reiki energy to flow as you breathe naturally. Even five minutes can positively influence your entire day. Spend more time if you are able; it is always a great idea! However, sometimes you may need to do “Reiki on the fly” while you are doing what you need to get done. Self-reiki, first thing in the morning, sets the tone for everything that follows.
- When facing difficult decisions, try using Reiki for decision-making. Place your hands over your heart center and ask, "What does my energy say yes to?" Notice the response in your body, not just your mind. Reiki helps you connect with your deeper knowing.
- Another practice we recommend is sending distance Reiki. Choose someone who might benefit from supportive energy. Take a few moments to send them Reiki. Remember that you're not trying to fix anything. Simply hold them in light and compassion. This practice supports others and deepens your own connection to Reiki.
- When you find yourself feeling overwhelmed during the day, take a brief Reiki pause. Place your hands on your body and think, "Reiki is here." Even 30 seconds can bring renewed calm and clarity. We use this technique between client sessions, during busy days, or anytime we need to reset my energy.
- Finally, consider Reiki journaling after your practice. Record any sensations, images, or insights that arose. Over time, this becomes a valuable record of your healing journey. I've kept a Reiki journal for years, and looking back at earlier entries shows me how much my practice has evolved.
The Practice of Remembering
At its essence, Reiki is about remembering truths we already know but sometimes forget: that we are whole, that healing is possible, and that we are deeply connected to ourselves, to others, and to Spirit.
During disorienting times, Reiki helps us find our center again. It reminds us that peace isn't something we must seek elsewhere. It's something we can return to, again and again, within ourselves. This inner knowing is one of the most profound gifts of your Reiki practices.
Students Are Asking Deeper Questions
There is an interesting evolution among our Reiki community. Many are returning to their practice with more profound questions that go beyond technique. They're exploring purpose, intuition, and their true selves. Reaching deeper into their own inner truth and inner authority.
This evolution reflects a rising collective consciousness. People are seeking simple healing, embracing wholeness, wisdom, and authentic connection. This includes us. We are inviting more ease and grace into our lives.
In our Reiki training programs, we honor these deeper inquiries. Each class, circle, and communication creates space to explore not just how Reiki works, but why it matters and why it might be calling to you at this particular moment.
Sharing Your Light
Reiki extends beyond our personal practices to healing on earth. As we practice regularly, we heal ourselves. As we heal, we naturally radiate more peace, compassion, and steadiness into our world. We believe Reiki practitioners are being called to share their light in quiet yet powerful ways.
Whether you're sending distance Reiki, (Distance Reiki Video on YouTube), offering sessions to others, or simply embodying peaceful presence in daily interactions, you're contributing to healing on a global scale through the power of your Reiki practices.
In Closing
Reiki isn't simply relevant today. It's essential. It offers a way to heal ourselves, support others, and live aligned with our deepest truth. As our world continues evolving, Reiki remains stable and kind, a practice of love, light, and remembrance.
We hope this article has offered both inspiration and practical guidance for bringing Reiki more fully into your daily life. Remember that you're not alone on this path. Your practice matters. Your healing matters.
